Local Democracy Agency Sisak and Sports Clubs’ Union of the City of Sisak organised the Sisak CSOs and Public Institutions’ Fair for the 11th year in a row which was held on the 26 September 2020. It gathered 235 representatives of 35 organisations from Sisak and Sisak-Moslavina County area, officially opened by the LDA Sisak President, Mrs Paula Raužan and President of the Sports Clubs’ Union of the City of Sisak and Deputy Mayor of the City of Sisak, Mr Marko Krička.
The Fair was successfully held respecting all epidemiological measures regarding COVID-19, showing diversity and strength of citizens daily working hard on new programs and services that contributes to better community life quality.
Presented organisations are working in varied fields of social life, such as social welfare, health care, youth work, humanitarian work, education, human rights, animal rights protection, sport, technical culture, culture, disabilities, active citizenship and volunteering.
Visitors of the Fair had an excellent opportunity to get to know present organisations in direct contact and tray and learn new skills, such as karate, key-ring making, using hockey bat, athletic warm-up, hit a goal, spin a stick and pom-pom moves, measuring sugar level and blood pressure, dancing, ball exercises, badge making, re-use of old materials, sport vessels, starting initiatives, where and how to volunteer and how to get actively involved in a work of present organisations.
Networking opportunities and development of new innovative activities, giving space for citizens to actively involved in community life is the value of this Fair.
The Fair promoted three initiatives, Croatia Volunteers, European Sustainable Development Week and NGOs Open Doors Days.

Organisation of the Fair helped City of Sisak, Sisak Tourist Board, House of Culture Cristal cube of serenity Sisak Town Theatre, Sisak City Market, Sisački vodovod, Komunalac Sisak and Gospodarenje otpadom Sisak.
The CSOs and Public Institutions’ Fair is organised within the projects Follow my Steps! – Youth for a Sustainable Community, Sisak Volunteer’ Network and Volunteer Centre Sisak co-funded by the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs within the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Program, City of Sisak and Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.
