Financing: The project is financed by the Ministry for Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy within Call for applications for projects aimed at young people for financial support from available resources part of the revenue from games of chances and State budget for 2019
Summary
The implementation of the project and project activities aims to improve the social inclusion of disadvantaged youth, increase the level of knowledge and information of young people about the development needs, potentials and development plans of the local community and increase the active participation of young people in meeting their own needs and the needs of the local community by planning, organizing and participating in project activities.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for young people living in local communities with fewer opportunities by encouraging active participation in community social life and making decisions in their interest.
Specific project goals are:
- Improve the social inclusion of young people at a disadvantage.
- Increase the level of knowledge and information of young people about the development needs, potentials, and plans of the local community.
- Increase the active participation of young people in meeting their own needs and local community needs by planning, organizing, and participating in volunteer actions.
- Improve the quality of work with young people at a local and national level using non-formal education methods.
Project activities:
- TRAINING OF YOUNG LEADERS
The workshops, through interactive work techniques, practical work, and the use of digital technologies, work on strengthening and improving self-confidence, assertiveness, teamwork and cooperation skills, presentation skills, and skills of using social networks and online media. The activities are intended to encourage personal development and improve the leadership skills of young people.
- EDUCATION ON EU YOUTH PROGRAMS
In cooperation with the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs and through interactive workshops, students will gain information about Erasmus + and other EU programs that allow them: free travel, youth exchanges, seminars and training, volunteer actions, exchange of good practice, internships and employment, etc. and learn write project proposals.
- WORKSHOPS ON LOCAL COMMUNITY POTENTIALS AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES
Workshops aimed at encouraging the development of entrepreneurial ideas and the use of all the potentials of the local environment, as well as establishing contact and cooperation with the Una Local Action Group.
- MENTORING FOR PREPARATION AND APPLICATION PROJECTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Mentoring support to students in drafting and submitting project proposals, applications for participation in EU thematic seminars and programs, and seeking an appropriate scholarship and the scholarship application process.
- VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES
The activities are intended to inform young people about the possibilities of volunteer work and enabling participation in 2 volunteer actions in the local community in cooperation with Local Democracy Agency Sisak (LDA Sisak). Volunteer actions will be tailored to the interests of students.
