Local Democracy Agency Sisak held a press conference in its premisises in order to lounch new project “ Getting to Know European Integration Process at the Local Level through Empowerment of the Local Media”, supported by Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
Project aims:
- Education of local media representatives of European integration process at the local level
- Education of local media representatives on ways of informing public of European integration process
- Introducing representatives of local authorities and political parties with European integration process at the local level
During the six months of the project implementation, the five local media journalists will visit the European Parliament where they will meet their colleagues from the EU Parliament Press service, the MBs of the new EU members’ states, representatives of the Mission of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union and will attend EU Parliament sessions.
Their experiences will be published in the local media and shared during the conference “The Role of the Local Media, Local Authorities and Political Parties in the European Integration Process”. Besides the local media, the conference will be attended by representatives of local authorities, political parties and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in order to have an open discussion on the importance of the elections of Croatian MBs in the EU Parliament in the future and what does it means for the local citizens, on election methodology, ways of candidate representatives of political parties and local governments’ and political parties’ strategies regarding the European integrations.
