A large delegation of INTACT project partners participated at the study visit in Sisak on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th June 2010.
This is the first international event planned in the project that will strengthen the links between 20 associations from 7 countries participating towns that are particularly involved in citizens’ participation issue and the promotion of EU values in the process of EU integration.
The topics of the project are to exchange good practices, to promote innovation and know-how by multiplying relations between towns across Europe in the context of the Local Democracy Agencies’ network.
Among the participants there were some elected representatives and high-level administration civil servants.
During the visit the partners attended the first meeting of the Steering Committee where the different steps of the project were discussed, then a Conference on decentralised cooperation and twinning.
In order to have the partners meet in a different context and have more direct exchanges, a visit was organised to the municipalities of Dvor and Hrvatska Kostajnica, to a factory in Divusa, to a beekeepers cooperative and a family agricultural farm.
The event was thus very successful and it promises a positive outcome for the following activities of INTACT project.
