New EU project “Q25 – Strengthening Volunteering’ System in Rural Communities of the Central Croatia” kick-off

The new project “Q25 – Strengthening Volunteering’ System in Rural Communities of the Central Croatia” presented publicly at the two press conferences, in Karlovac on the 11 July and in Sisak on the 13 July 2017. The project is 100% funded by the European Social Fund and Governmental Office for Cooperation with the NGOs of the Republic of Croatia, in the amount of the 608.928,26 HRK.

Project leader is Local Action Group Vallis Colapis from Ozalj, partnering with the Local Democracy Agency Sisak, Association Carpe Diem from Karlovac, Red Cross Duga Resa and Home for elderly and dependence people “Sveti Antun” from Karlovac. It will be implemented during one year in the area of Karlovac, Zagreb and Sisak-Moslavina counties.

Abbreviation “Q25” refers to 20 organisers of volunteering activities and 4 project leader and partners, total 25, that will develop and implement voluntary programs according to their organisations’ and beneficiaries’ needs. There will be 175 volunteers engaged in the project, delivering 12.000 voluntary hours.

Capacity building activities of the associations and health and social public institutions will improve their services in work quality in health and social services.

We invite all interested to participate in the project activities to contact us since organisations will receive high-quality training, technical assistance and monitoring in their voluntary activities’ development. Project leader and partners will monitor and support all organisations involved in the project by providing training on voluntary programs development and volunteer management. The second project phase focuses on volunteers’ mobilisation whose engagement will contribute to their personal competences, knowledge and skills strengthening and upgrade work quality of organisations where they volunteer.

The press conference in Karlovac followed the first project partners meeting on which leader and partners agreed on upcoming activity plan, task division and technical implementation details.
