Local democracy agency Sisak in May is starting to implement the project “Getting to Know My Europe”.
The project is implementing by financial support of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations. The project “Getting to Know my Europe” is referring to informing public on European integration process in Sisak-Moslavina area and it is direct follow-up of the project “Getting to Know European Integration Process at the Local Level through Empowerment of the Local Media” implemented by the LDA Sisak in 2006 by financial support of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations.
The project is aiming on education of local young journalists and young members of political parties in forms of informing local population on European integration process and in introducing wider public with the European integration process at the local level.
The project activities are consist of Study visit of young journalists and young political parties’ members to the European institutions in Strasbourg, meetings with members of Parliament from new European Union states; meeting with EU Parliament Press service; radio broadcast panel on the County level and printing pocket guide “How to Reach European Parliament?”.
Moreover, gained knowledge and lessons learned will transfer to participant’s colleagues and in that way it will contribute to the implementation of the “Communication Strategy Aimed at Informing the Croatian Public about the European Integration Process of the Republic of Croatia” of the Croatian Government.
The project is supported by Croatian journalists’ association – Sisak and Moslavina branch and the Association of the Local democracy agencies.
