Target groups: Volunteers and organisers of volunteering activities

The main goal of the project is contribution in building a society in which volunteering represents the main force of active, responsible and human communities through 3 specific goals:

1. Insuring a quality and sustainable support system for organisers of volunteering activities and volunteers by strengthening volunteer centres in the Central Croatia region.
2. Increasing the number of public institutions and NGOs which are implementing quality volunteering programs to improve services in the area of health, social care and other areas of general interest.
3. Contributing in the strengthening of public awareness of the well-being and values ​​that volunteering brings to every individual, community, and society as a whole.

Project summary:

With joint forces, volunteer centres in Zagreb, Petrinja, Sisak, Zabok and Čakovec will provide a quality and sustainable support system for organisers of volunteering activities and volunteers in the region of central Croatia. The project improves the capacity of organisers of volunteering activities – NGOs and public institutions for the quality management of volunteering programs to improve services of general interest. Volunteer Centres and numerous organisers of volunteering activities “On volunteering waves – are building an infrastructure for strong and connected communities” ensure the use of the enormous potential that citizens want and can give to the society.
