The first module of the Training Academy “Training for Trainers – TOT” was held in Zagreb, from 20 to 22 February 2018 and it was organised by the Croatian centre for volunteering development. The first module of the academy “Adult Education, Trainers’ Role and Training Design” gathered 20 representatives of civil society organisations, including representatives of the Local Democracy Agency Sisak, Matea Strižić and Martina Jambrović. Throughout three days, the participants got familiar with the concept of educating adults, the styles and outcomes of the learning process, the process and the steps involved in planning and implementing the education. The participants also had the opportunity to improve the level of understanding and various techniques and methods used in informal education for adults.
Trainers, Lejla Šehić Relić (Volunteer Centre Osijek) and Slađana Novota (Organisation SMART) shared their strong experience and introduced participants to the world of educating adults with concrete tips.
The next three-day module is going to be held in March 2018 with the leadership of Nives Ivelja (Organisation Mi from Split) and Jela Prgić Znika (Volunteer Centre Zagreb) focusing on the strengthening the competences for planning and performing education on volunteer management.
The Training Academy is a part of the project “Croatia Volunteers – Positive Stream of Volunteering!” with the Croatian centre for volunteering development as project leader and partners: Volunteer Centre Zagreb, Organisation for Civil Society Development SMART, Organisation MI, Volunteer Centre Osijek and the Home for elderly people “Maksimir”.
The project is implementing from June 2017 to November 2018 and is funded by the European Social Fund.
