Annual meeting of the Equality Forum Platform took place on the 28 October 2016 in Zagreb, in premises of the Association for Promoting Inclusion, one of the member.
Equality Forum is an open platform of organisations contributing to achievement of equality for all citizens of Croatia, gathering 14 organisations coordinated by the Croatian Legal Centre.
This meeting is used to evaluate implemented activities after the first year of the Forum’ work and to plan future cooperation modality, since financial assistance from National Foundation Civil Society Development is no longer available. Present members unanimously agreed on the great potential of the Equality Forum, taking into consideration growing (new) forms of inequalities in today’s society. Variety of organisations gathered in the Forum is its strength and even without secured funds, is possible to take a step forward, with synergy and joint dedication.
Plan for the next period is to continue with already going on activities, such as monitoring of the European, national and local directives that might influence citizens’ equality and monitoring of regulatory impact assessment. Moreover, presentation of the survey results on social inequality conducted among Croatian citizens and operational plan in accordance to the EU annual priorities.
