Local Democracy Agency Sisak on 13-14 February 2006 held the international conference “Economic Initiatives for a Local Sustainable Development – Micro Credit Possibilities” in County Economy Chamber Sisak.
The aim of the conference was to present micro credit possibilities for small entrepreneurs, study cases of young entrepreneurs or incubators from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Norway.
The conference itself is the result of the project „Promoting Local Economic Development in Western Balkans: Youth Capacity Building” implemented by LDA Sisak in 2005, which was composed from the training for young entrepreneurs.
During the conference following institutions and organisations were presented: Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, Sisak-Moslavina County – Administrative Department for Craft, Small and Medium Entrepreneurship, Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development – Zagreb, PRED Association for Economic Development – Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina, project „Enterprising Croatia“ – USAID Zagreb, LEDA (Local Economic Development Agency) Sisak, Enterprising zones – City of Sisak, Innovative Programmes – Moss, Norway and County Economy Chamber Sisak.
The conference was open for all citizens. It was supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, City of Sisak and Association of Local Democracy Agencies.
