On 20 December 2007, the last meeting of the Working Group for abatement of a domestic violence of the project “For a Community of Domestic Violence” was held in premises of the City of Sisak.
During the meeting the awarding ceremony for winners of the Competition for the short story on the topic of domestic violence was held as well. The Competition was open for high school pupils from Sisak-Moslavina area and the winners are:
1) Superiority – Dino Pešut/Gymnasium Sisak
2) Paper Soldier – Predrag Stojić/High school Glina
3) My Name is Ana – Luna Banda/High school Tin Ujević, Kutina
4) They Deserve It – Zdenka Petrak/High school Glina
5) Six o’clock and fifty-seven minutes – Sabrina Fetibegović/Gymnasium Sisak
The winners received money prizes in amount of 500,00 kuna and certificates of won places. The prizes were delivered by Mrs. Katica Svoboda – expert adviser in Administrative department for social affairs of the City of Sisak.
After the celebrative part, the Working Group carried out with their work estimating project activities and results. It was singled out that the activities were implemented in accordance to the action plan and with target groups’ needs.
The project was evaluated as successful with recommendation to carry with the institutional coordination.
The project was implemented by LDA Sisak with the supported by Ministry of Health and Social Care of Republic of Croatia and Governmental Office for Gender Equality of Republic of Croatia, in partnership with City of Sisak and in cooperation with Centre for Social Care Kutina.
