Local Democracy Agencies, ALDA (Association of Local Democracy Agencies), CEB (Council of Europe Development Bank), Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Provredna banka Zagreb, a member of Intesa SanPaolo group, started a project “Micro Credits for Small Entrepreneurship” in the area of Croatia and West Balkans, aiming to stimulate employment, namely realisation and implementation of entrepreneurship ideas such as start-up, established business, crafts and agricultural family farms.
The role of the LDAs is to provide necessary information on financing, documentation and process of loan approval. In Croatia, the project is implementing in Sisačko-Moslavačka County, Osječko-Baranjaska County and Istrian County.
Eligible loan borrowers:
· Agricultural family farms
· Crafts
· SMEs
· Associations
· Cooperatives
Farmers and entrepreneurs developing additional, complementary services and invest in existing production are in advantage.
Minimal loan amount is 5.000,00 euros, and return period is 6 years. Nominal interest rate: EURIBOR 3M + 3,5% annually.
Process of the loan approval is as follows:
1. Contacting Local Democracy Agencies
2. Developing business plan and gathering relevant loan documentation, assisted by the LDA
3. Submitting the loan documentation in the nearest PBZ branch office
4. Disbursing loans, upon of Bank approval
5. Supporting entrepreneurs by LDA
