Local Democracy Agency Sisak opened photography exhibition as the result of the photography course attended by youth from Sisak-Moslavina County.
The course was held from March-June 2006 in the framework of the project „Indigenous Multiculturalism – Youth in Action“ aiming to combat ethnic discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance through multicultural youth groups’ empowerment. The photographs show multiculturalism in our community, similarities and differences, throughout the eyes of the course attendants. The purpose of the exhibition is to motivate public to think about diversity richness in our community and therefore contribute to increasing of intolerance.
The exhibition gathered 50 visitors and was opened by Mr. Tomislav Dovranic, Head of Department for Social Affairs of City of Sisak.
After the exhibition opening, visitors had an opportunity to hear a lecture of Mr. Benjamin Perasovic from Croatian Studies, who presented youth culture and Rastafarism as unusual religion/culture for our area. At the end, visitors enjoyed in reggae music DJ-ed by Mr. Perasovic.
The exhibition is set in Culture Centre “Kristalna kocka vedrine” in Sisak.
