Local Democracy Agency Sisak had organized a group of young people aged 16 to 19 from Sisak-Moslavina County who were a part of the Youth Exchange Project that was held in Alba, a city near Torino in Italy, from 7th till 16th of December 2007.
The project “Take a Walk on a Ritual Side” is a product of cooperation between host organization “Cooperativa O.R.So.” from Italiy, and other partners organizations Centre For Creative Expression (Lithuania), Local Democracy Agency Zavidovici (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Local Democracy Agency South and Central Serbia (Nis, Serbia) and Local Democracy Agency Sisak.
Theme of this Youth exchange were culture and customs of participant’s countries on national, group, religious and every other level. Young people had chance to meet and get to know different cultures, what helps them to understand way of living in other societies, stimulates curiosity and tolerance for diversities of the world we live in.
Through educative workshops in painting and theatre participants were on creative way faced with different cultures, customs and their specific meanings.
This exchange gathered 40 people from five countries, including 6 participants and two youth leaders from each. The group from Sisak and Moslavina County was formed from participants and leaders from Dvor, Hrvatska Kostajnica, Petrinja and Sisak.
30 percent of the participants’ travel expense were covered by Minicipality of Dvor, City of Hrvatska Kostajnica, City of Petrinja and participants themselves.
