The traveling exhibition “Growing Together” presents various volunteer programs implemented by associations and institutions throughout 2019, and was placed in Hrvatska Kostajnica on January 24, 2020 at High School Ivana Trnskoga in Hrvatska Kostajnica. Exhibition was opened on International Volunteers Day last December.
The exhibition promotes the importance of volunteers contributions to community development and encourages the development of high quality and sustainable volunteer programs. Nineteen volunteer organizers show different areas of volunteering with their photographs, including: animal protection, school volunteering, event volunteering, promotion and information, culture and environmental protection, social care and youth, inclusive volunteering and health.
The volunteer organizers whose photos can be viewed are: Center for the Protection of Animals and Nature – Key – Stružec / Popovača; Ivan Trnski High School Hrvatska Kostajnica; Ribar Brothers Primary School – Sisak; Budaševo Primary School -Topolovac-Gušće – Sisak; Primary School “Bobetko Brothers” – Sisak; Glina High School; Zorka North – Popovaca Primary School; Sisak Cinema Club; City of Sisak; Secondary school Viktorovac – Sisak; New World, Children and Youth Association – Sisak; Sisak City Museum; Citizens’ Group “Sisak Volunteers”; The parish of St. Alojzije Gonzaga – Popovaca; Vrbina Children’s Home – Sisak; Local Democracy Agency Sisak; Popovka Association of Fine Artists “Moslavački Strk”; Association Topot – Kutina; Diabetes Society of the City of Sisak.
At the opening, the present was greeted by the Headmistress of the school, Ms. Olga Miocevic, educator Mirela Majstorovic, and introduction to the exhibition was given to us by ALD project manager Sisak Tamara Usedovic.
The exhibition is open for the next month, and can be viewed at Ivan Trnski High School Hrvatska Kostajnica in the school hall from 8:00 to 14:00 every working day.
