On Monday, 8 July 2019, the first meeting of project partner sin the frame of project „Follow my steps!“ was held, during which partners were briefly introduced to the project, project activities and the role of individual partners in project preparation and implementation.
The project leader is the Local Democracy Agency Sisak, and is co-financed by the Office for Associations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia through the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Program. The project is being implemented from 1/6/2019 to 5/31/2021 in the area of Sisak and Hrvatska Kostajnica in partnership with the Sisak-Moslavina County , Gymnasium High School, High School Ivan Trnski Hrvatska Kostajnica.
The project contributes to the promotion of partnership between civil society organisations and educational institutions in the field of volunteerism, which contributes to the economic and social cohesion and sustainable development in Sisak – Moslavina County.
It will result of development of training program on sustainable development through volunteering, with establishment of 2 high school volunteer clubs in Sisak and Hrvatska Kostajnica whose activities are focused on the goals of sustainable development and icreased local community awareness about possibilities of cooperation between sectors in promoting sustainable development through the benefits of volunteering.
The target groups are high school students (80), 2 high schools, 15 CSOs / institution / administration. Through the design and implementation of peer workshops and volunteer activities, 40 volunteer students will develop new competencies and build capacity for active involvement in the lives of their local communities.
Programme is co-financed by the Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs.
